| | The May Attitude of Gratitude
Let's create some more space for daily thankfulness.
For a new month starting and the way things have been unusual lately, I cannot imagine what it will bring. The uncertainty is not so bad, makes us tough.
For good news last night.
For spring starting. Water is warming up
For the way this country has dealt and is dealing with the virus.
For people who invest in our community.

I'm grateful to have found a great aide to living here in Switzerland on the EF, even if I've already been burnt.

I'm grateful for online courses, they have been my salvation in the past few weeks as they've stopped me watching doom and gloom on the news and have kick started my brain again
Also grateful for the fact I have a hairdo waiting for me on the 13th as I have 2 inches of white root growth and I'm 59 on the 14th
Finally I'm grateful for the company of my husband, his sense of humour has kept me going and stopped me from getting too down.

Hmmmmm. Let's think of today and what it will bring.
I am thankful for my distant cohort holding together.
For the independence this place fosters.
For recent rains.
For not booking any holidays yet.
For the network around us.
For lovely friends who keep in touch daily.
For daily walks.
For conferences that only switched online but keep happening.

Today, we thank to friends that help out.
I am grateful for this phenomenal weather.
For new people that are all ready to share and exchange.
For research groups and tinkerers.
For expeditions, real and imagined.
For school life that starts again on Monday for many of the people I know.

Grateful for my husband and our dog in this time. Also, for the two adorable older couples I have met (from a safe distance!) this week, one selling me their old bike and the others chatting us up whilst out on our first family bike ride.

Lovely weekend, let's thank to good cards we have been dealt. Today I am grateful for some extra time, for a fab research group, for having amazing friends I get so see again, for not being a clean freak but enjoying a good declutter, for magnificent rain that washes off a lot of mankiness. |

Today, our thanks go for web applications that help us with our creative projects. For those friends backing us up, selflessly. For the temps, the weather has been really nice past few days, breezy but friendly. For letting go of so many things and then for recycling stuff, repairing and reusing. For keeping up with sports, maybe too much but not letting my sport buddies down, no no no. For one day at a time.

Today I'm grateful for not procrastinating. I've managed to sort through all our stored away summer clothes, have pressed what we want to wear, made a pile for things I have that need to be shortened and have organised what we don't want but is still of good quality to donate to the Red Cross. I am a happy girl this evening | This user would like to thank Cherub for this useful post: | |

Ooooh, I am grateful to powers of the web for getting our community up and working again. And for a kickass afternoon on the beach.

Only a few more hours, and May will finally be done. I'm relieved.
