MagicPass 2020

Hello. What do people think about MagicPass this year ? There is something of a debate going on with the comments on their facebook page with people pointing out that the reduced price (which ends on monday - but i think they will extend it myself) is being a bit unfair because we still actually dont know what will be open. the 7th of june federal statement says "mountain transport" is proposed to open on 7th June, but MP have been quite clear: if corona stops people using the lifts during 2020 or beyond they will not refund anything, no extension, no refund, nothing. There message is really "you should be thanking US for selling this at this price".

personally we had MP last year, we liked it, but I am wary about committing a load of cash (for the family) with a company that is clearly saying "this is effectively a bet".

Anyone else dipped their toes into the MP waters ?

Could you perhaps post a link to that, please? The only thing I found is this statement, which, I suppose, does imply that if a resort is closed the pass loses its validity.
Our Magic Pass 2020/2021 offer is valid in summer and winter ; that is, from May 9th 2020 to May 2nd 2021, according to the opening schedule of each of our resorts.

Here's a nice map of the resorts and pools included.

Hi, its the entire subject discussion here https://www.facebook.com/MagicPass.ch/?epa=SEARCH_BOX

MagicPass stopped when the ski resorts were closed in March under the government orders. Like many other people on the thread I thought this would mean they would do something for the 19-20 pass like give you 50 francs off the next season, but in fact they said - officially - that no one is refunded anything and to boot even if you had taken out their insurance that also didnt count because of the nature of a pandemic event (outside their control). legally they were correct, but morally a very cold position.

This year (and there are replies in the thread from magicpass) its the same - if lifts are closed they won't refund as its outside their control. While the 19-20 event was in my opinion not great really from their perspective, because they lost no revenue, they had all their magicpass payments of course, for 20/21 to sell the pass now with no reduction and they wont even move its start date while everything is shut, i.e. its may to may regardless of the fact that may is not going to be usable, it seems a somewhat blunt positioning from them.

We loved the magicpass last year (until the closure) and we're keen to go ahead this year, but paying a lot of money for something that they are clear may not actually end up valid, is just strange to me, i thought they would have more of a customer service centric approach.

Re: MagicPass 2020

While I was disappointed the season came to an end early, I got my moneys worth even with the early closure. I was actually in Saas feee the day it closed. I had been there the week and was thinking about skiing in the morning before going home, but it was closed that day.

I have already bought the pass for this year and got it in the mail this week.
I hope that I will be able to use it some in the summer time, but I really think that by winter time they will have something figured out to keep the ski areas open. I cannot imagine them being closed the entire winter season...
but you never know....

Thanks. I was looking on their website, not on Facebook, and didn't find any of that information there. Either I didn't look properly, or else it's rather odd that they wouldn't provide that information on their website.

Refund policy is on their website under Sales Conditions

Question is, if you wait and don't get it before Monday at the special price, what would the cost then be. It is valid for a complete year so is it really an issue if you didn't get a full year given the savings

Re: MagicPass 2020

Hello. Has anyone successfully received a refund through their credit card for the inability to use the Magic Pass 20/21 through the travel bans?
