Kids spitting on people passing by

My partner just went to get some food from Coop and as he left there were kids spitting on passers by from a window above. WTF? Thank God as it happened to him police turned up as a previous victim of their action had already called them.

speechless.

I would say that there is more leniency here to let kids fend for themselves and account for their own actions. I have seen similar stuff going on, kids splashing with fountain water targetting people who walked by, kids throwing stones at eachtother at packed areas hitting others, kids throwing stones at public transport, random ice balls at strangers, you name it. But then, those are things that probably happen eslewhere too, maybe not as overtly. I also saw and know some really responsible kids, polite, low key, helpful and not spoiled...like not at all, and that is far more frequent here.

Well as a kid I am sure I did bad things too. But there was no Coronavirus infection risk. And after that death in the UK of a person who was spat on... It makes one react a little more than usual.

On the subject of disgusting behaviour my daughter had a used facemask put in her letter box yesterday - can't believe someone could do that

Yes!! I’ve regularly observed this and it leaves me flabbergasted. I think it is only in the most recent generation of parents that parent like this. I’ve observed such shenanigans with parents watching and saying nothing.

I've seen plenty of used facemasks littering the paths.

Actually, there are other disease which one is able to infect another through saliva. Hence in the U.S., spitting on someone is considered a criminal offence.
