Where are ground fountains for kids in Zurich

I don't know what's the proper term for these whack-a-mole kind of fountains, where water jets keep appearing from different holes in ground.

My son used to love playing there. With summer already here, where can we find similar fountains in Zurich?

I don't know if this is helpful, because it doesn't exactly answer your question but there is a small wading pool at Artergut behind Kreuzplatz. It is perfect for young kids to splash around in.

There is a small description here.

Re: Where are ground fountains for kids in Zurich

Here's a link to various kinds of pools and ponds in Zurich, to splash around in, that are not in an official swimming area, but instead in public squares or parks.

The map doesn't seem to be working, but one can still click on each marker, and there are photos.

Re: Where are ground fountains for kids in Zurich

If you fancy a trip to the other end of the lake, there is a ground fountain along the harbor in the Rapperswil Altstadt that our young visitors enjoyed playing in. I seem to remember that the spigots randomly stopped and started whackamole style, rather than a continuous flow, but it has been many years so my memory could be faulty.

In any event, Rapperswil is a lovely town. There is also a nice swimming area, pedal boat rental, the deer in the castle park. As a bonus, take the boat from Zürich.
