Rigorously enforced? You've got to be joking. Even if Switzerland is not on the list, it should be and even less likely to be enforced in my opinion.

We are planning to drive to the UK next month. If Switzerland is not on the list, I would assume that even though we arrive from France, we would still have to quarantine upon arrival in the UK... does anyone have any thoughts here?
Looking forward to clarity from the British govt.

So with the news just released regarding entry to the UK.... who may know the following?!
If I arrive back in the UK on the 6th July - will I need to quarantine for 4 days (until the 10th) or for the full 14 days? This I have not seen a clear answer for.
Common sense tells me it should only be for the 4 days, but that is what scares me!

Common sense dictates that you shouldn’t have to quarantine at all. You are coming from a less infected country...
Ask the immigration official at the airport.

I have a friend who just relocated from the US to the UK. Her husband is a UK citizen, she is not, but is now a permanent resident working in London. We're having a hard time figuring out if she can travel to switzerland. People from the UK are allowed to travel, but its not clear if UK residents who are not citizens are allowed. Anyone have any idea what the rules might be?

I suppose on the positive side it has stopped us from getting infected and given us time to focus on unpacking .
We had to fly on 26 June as we had given up the apartment and found a new tenant from 1 July. The removal co loaded up 22/23 June. Cleaning & handover 24th.
Of interest the only comments about quarantine from officialdom was a question at Heathrow - "Have you done the form?" and when we answered "yes, one each" she waved us through to the electronic gates without looking at our copies. No problems, bags arrived as we walked up to the belt and we beat the driver to the meeting point. Heathrow was actually pleasant!
No checks on us to date, but we have played by the rules.
Farewell to Switzerland - it's been a blast!

Does she have proof of residence? It’s about where you are coming from and live, not citizenship!
EDIT: https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home...FTA%20citizens) Who is allowed to enter Switzerland?
The border control authority will not allow you to enter Switzerland from a high-risk country (i.e. from any country that is not a Schengen state) unless you meet at least one of the following requirements:
- You have rights of free movement What rules apply to persons from the EU/EFTA and the United Kingdom with rights of free movement?
For EU/EFTA and UK citizens, their family members, irrespective of their nationality, and providers of cross-border services who have rights of free movement, the requirements of the Agreement on Free Movement of Persons (AFMP) and the customary rules on its application apply

Someone I know (who has been tested) flew into London Heathrow from Zurich, form and all contact details in hand with an address where he would self isolate. Went straight to his meeting and 4 hours later flew back from London City.
No one stopped him. No one has checked up on him, either at the address he gave (he has a house on the south coast), when he left from LCY or till now by calling his mobile. He was prepared to pay the fine if caught but 9 days now passed and nothing.
I don't debate the rights or wrongs, just answering the question as to anyone having first hand experience.

England only? Haven´t seen anything what Scotland has decided, if at all.

Easy Jet totally slashed their Zurich - Luton program (from next week they're just doing two flights a week). So I guess they are expecting this to happen. I am flying back next Friday and I was so hoping I was going to miss any new quarantine restrictions so I shall continue to keep my paws crossed.

I’m in the UK right now and the one thing that’s more bizarre than the travel rules and bureaucracy is how differently the different parts of the country behave: in the south of England was it the typical stuff you’d expect: masks, hand sanitizer, distancing. In the North did our country hotel tell us that only staff needs to wear masks, guests don’t. Including that larger group that came from a wedding and was pretty obviously rather drunk. In Scotland is everyone completely paranoid and rules that make no sense are followed to the letter.
