So I wasn't too far off after all?

Have fun in Greece. Just don't say εντάξει! (sounds something like this: ENTÁXEI) too freely when you're not sure, what you are agreeing to or we'll have an other one of these threads when you return. :D

The issue was more a lack of commitment from Y, a very demanding career making almost any plan impossible. However, since M dates X, Y seems to be more and more excited and wanting to date M, if possible with X present, which will never happen, over my dead body (and probably X's, who has never been into any kind of Y!) .
But, right now, X is making M extremely happy and I have not felt like this for a long, very long time. It feels wonderful, may it last!

Ah, M dates X. Now that bit was not mentioned, no wonder I got it all wrong.

I like people who mean it when they say, they want to try something new!
May it last, indeed. :)

PS: Does X not like Greece?

M's flights had been booked since January and were successfully transferred to M's convenience- Alas, they were all fully booked and both X and Y will have to manage on Swiss soil in the absence of fabulous M !:p

I'm just immersed in Iain Banks "The Culture" sci-fi books. Looks like I just encountered a forum of one of their habitats.

You've been personally called up at least two times by teacher McTavge but you proved to be a deep sleeper.

Re: M+Y (M+X) = McTav

Sorry i have not been here a long time, but some exciting update! So, I went to Greece, deserted by tourists and it was lovely! Beaches all to myself, it was truly wonderful and the holiday I had been dreaming of... except the reality seems to be taking over even my wildest dreams! On day 3 of the holiday, I went to a beach (signposted as such), stretching as far as the eye could see, and no one but me. I had been playing and jumping in the waves for about 15 minutes when suddenly I was pulled by a very strong current and simply could not swim back to shore. It was so scary and I had waves battering me, I honestly thought this was the end. Then, this guy seemed to arrive from nowhere, he had seen me struggling, drove his car to the beach, had a rope in his car he tied to his bumper and swam to rescue me. Basically, he saved my life.
I was spitting salt water, choking for air but so grateful I gave him a hug... whatever he thought, he was inclined for more than a hug and that's how a great, torrid holiday romance went on for the following 6 days with this Adonis.
Except: remember, we've still got X in Geneva, Y in German speaking Switzerland, now A in Greece and all 3 want to join me for my birthday here in Geneva, oblivious of each other's existence! I am used to manage unruly classes but not this!
I told ya, life never is boring in Switzerland!

No need. You named the Greek guy A.

Teach the alphabet to your harem and each will know their place. :D

Wow, life is never boring for you, McTav. This was way better than everything I could have watched on Netflix... :p

Glad you're back in Switzerland, happy and full of existential dilemmas. :)

On the topic of Switzerland, I finally went to a jeweller to have my wedding ring removed because I could not do it myself. He had to cut it in the end, which saddens me a bit, but that's the way it goes. He refused to charge me anything, claiming he was acting as a "Liberator"! I believe he's had some very unhappy experience with a woman before! The incredible thing in this story is NOT to be charged for a service, in Geneva of all places!

Why would he tie himself to a rope connected to a car? And how did he know the rope was long enough?

How peculiar.
