| | Re: Good salary in Zurich | Quote: | | | | | Really? I would put Globus on a par with Harrods (maybe slightly under as I haven't been to the UK in more than 10 years). Globus has very few stores and I have never seen anyone going out of one with a full shopping trolley. It is for buying specialty items. Sainsbury is nowhere near Globus prices. Did you mean Waitrose? | | | | | Globus is nowhere near Harrods quality wise which has a way better food section. It is ( was) also amazingly busy in comparison with Globus which has more of a museum type atmosphere.
For everyday shopping when I lived near Holland Park I used to shop at Waitrose, also much better than either Migros or Coop.

Jelmoli actually has stuff you can’t find elsewhere in CH... say Fortnum & Mason tea or Bülow lakrits.

I've read this type of posts ever since I joined the forum and I still find them entertaining.

All your interesting shopping discussions aside - I would like the OP to tell us what all our priceless advise on the topic of his salary led to.

It's not particularly well managed and the knowledge of the staff often doesn't extend beyond what they actually stock. No real deep expertese.
You can probably get virtually anything in Zürich, but you would need to go to different shops (including some of the ethnic shops along Langstrasse). There is not one place where you find it all.
Same as London I guess.

Just curious, how are you allowed to work as a lawyer in Zurich without having studied Swiss law?
