Are there any places to throw used clothes in Lausanne?

I have seen one of those cabins where you throw used clothes for charity and I don't know where to find one I Lausanne.

Anyone knows a place?

Normally you can look at the website of your city under environment/trash and such where all the different collection boxes for clothes, metal, glass etc.. are in your neighbourhood.

Hi, thanks. I don't think caritas would accept it. the clothes are old and there are many socks too. I just don't want to throw that in the trash for environmental reasons.

If the conditions are so bad that other people would not use them, then it's by definition trash and not clothes anymore. You can use them as cleaning rags, otherwise the trash bin is the most appropriate place to throw them (also environmentally).

If you think they can still be used as clothes, on the other side, caritas or brocki (https://www.brocki.ch/fr/filiales-2/lausanne/) or texaid (https://www.texaid.ch/en/) are the way to go.

I believe the charities sell unsalable items as rags for the paper industry. They don’t get a lot, but they do get something; reusing is better than incinerating.

Also some clothe chains ex H&M accept and recycle old clothe including shoes.
They say the fabrics will be reused, definatley better than throwing into the trash.
