Thanks. I know there is no point re-hashing it but my twin babies were born too early and it was a very difficult time. I keep asking myself if we could have delayed the birth.

We had a car too but my husband said he couldn't drive me. Can you believe it? I then had to first call a taxi and then an ambulance and wait on the street in the snow. How frustrating. I still haven't forgiven him.
Don't beat yourself up for things that were out of your control and they already happened anyway...you did what you could and what you knew at that time. What I see from your lines - you were really strong and brave. Please try to see yourself the way you really were. And...I think all of us were scared and insecure, but we somehow managed to give birth. Look at the larger picture, what a beautiful, amazing thing. It doesn't matter it didn't go according to the plan or according to some idealised image we used to have before. Take care, be kind to yourself.

Re: Going for delivery [to give birth] with taxi/uber?

We used Uber in the middle of the night and it was no problem at all. Good luck.

We don't have a car or CH driving license and instead of calling a friend it would be easiest to go by a taxi/uber.

We live in Zurich city.

Anybody did this before? I am wondering if they would reject us or not. It would be highly inconvenient to be rejected in an urgent situation...

Re: Going for delivery [to give birth] with taxi/uber?

Have you thought about contacting a doula?

They will definitely be in a good position to advise and support if you need.

Hugs. You know...there are always "what ifs" that relate to birth, for every single mom. Give yourself a gold medal for incubating those babies! If you cannot, I will bow to you instead x

Birth is a very strange moment for some husbands. Just think he did the best he could then. It didn't help you and frustrated but it is better to still have that kind of attitude How are the kids?

Times are such that it is not even clear if my husband will be able to be in the hospital (can at the moment, but you never know how things may change is covid cases increase...)

So even though I was planning on having a doula, I just gave up. Huge likelihood she won't be able to be there... I don't think it's worth for pre-birth things...

Well, we went twice as came back home in-between. The first one was with the suitcase and the second with a baby-car seat both were without problems Wrote more about the experience itself in another thread.
