Celebrating a special birthday in zurich

Hello,

My husband and myself have just relocated to zurich together with our 2 kids ages 7 and 2.
My husband's birthday is on 19/09 and I am looking for fun and special activities for the entire day in zurich and at the evening to celebrate in a special restaurant.
I can find a restaurant but i need help with the activities during the day.
We once did the chocolate tuk tuk tour around zurich and that was nice.
Now i am looking for something more special ..

All ideas are welcome

Thank you

if 4hrs would also do check out the Quest game in Ruemlang. My friend did it and loved it. Otherwise check out foxtrails in/around ZH, those are really fun too.

Thank you for your reply.
I was thinking maybe take a private tour to one of the near
Mountains and then finish with a dinner at a panoramic restaurant.

Any suggestions?

Maybe a tour of the vineyards in a horse drawn carriage in Heidiland (Graubünden) and a meal afterwards in Liechtenstein in the Torkel http://www.torkel.li/de/restaurant-t...htenstein.html

That's a fine idea. But beware: you can smoke inside at the Torkel. See my comment in TripAdvisor from last time I went there: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUser...kel-Vaduz.html

Mt. Rigi.
Train to Luzern then boat to Vitznau. Train up to Rigi Kulm for lunch then back down to the Rigi Kaltbad stop and spend a couple of hours at the spa. Finally, cable car down to Weggis at sunset, boat back over to Luzern and train to Zurich.

It's the favourite trip of my friends and family when they visit.

You might consider here. About 2 hours from Zürich.

A lift takes you up to Ebenalp. Then you walk down through a cave to the restaurant. A 15 min walk.

Re: Celebrating a special birthday in zurich

We spent my husband birthday at Tamina Therme Bad Ragaz and this year they offer Bio-Textil Sauna, including in the entrance price. You need a towel to enter this Textil-Sauna.

If you go with train and show the tickets immediately, you will get a reduction.

We know the place from the very first day, we even met the Architect and we have been there many times and we liked it but this time it was less-crowded and it was absolutely wonderful.

They decided to sell half of the tickets they used to sell..that is why is less crowded.
