Phishing Scam - not Swiss Post

I received the email below. I haven‘t posted anything in months, so my suspicions were aroused. The link took my to a page that looked like the Swiss post but the URL was not Swiss.

The page asked for credit card details.

„Grüße“ is a bit of a give away...

Watch out!

Well at least they gave you an 848 number so you a can learn it’s a scam at 8 centimes a minute.

Re: Phishing Scam - not Swiss Post

I've had a number of SMS's, supposedly from Swiss Post asking me to click on a link to arrange delivery of a parcel or they have a payment to make to me. Funny, currency is always in Euros. Needless to say, I never click.

Re: Phishing Scam - not Swiss Post

For me, it was it was in English. Shown Link text was containing the post URL but actual link was pointing to some other URL. Note: I have removed phising URL in the message below.

Re: Phishing Scam - not Swiss Post

Oh so those have made it to Switzerland now, too.
About a month ago my mother called me asking if I had sent her something. She had recieved a sms about arranging for pickup and a small payment.

Needless to say she was disapointed when I told her that it was a scam & there was no care package filled with proper fondue cheese...

It's a scam. Ignore it. If the post needs you to pay something they put a slip in your letter box.

Re: Phishing Scam - not Swiss Post

I've had it three or four times since April. Somebody has realised that everyone is having lots of stuff delivered, and maybe not looking too carefully at what they are clicking on...

The post is also warning about it on their site.
They say all official notifications come from notifications@post.ch.

As a side note, if you create an online account at post.ch, you can log in and actually see a picture of your packages that are coming. Sometimes I actually get info from the post before the shop that sent it sends me the tracking number.

Yeah I have that its really good - handy as well for if they don't ring the bell an dump a parcel in the foyer of the apartment block as you get an email to say they delivered it so at least then you know to go down and grab it.
