Kleinmengenzuschlag [small amount fee]

So I'm looking to buy a small electronics item. I search for it and it comes up on conrad.ch at a decent price. I go to the website, subscribe to the newsletter to get my 5CHF voucher and see that they're offering free delivery. I couldn't believe it! Wow I thought.
So I put it in the basket went to checkout and lo and behold there's this Kleinmengenzuschlag (small amount fee) of 5CHF. Wow I thought again. Nevermind I'll use my 5CHF voucher - nope the amount is below the minimum purchase price (of course)

Only in Switzerland!

Amazon it is then.

Re: Kleinmengenzuschlag

I understand your point but Conrad is a smaller company whereas Amazon is ... slightly bigger.

I wonder when the backlash of ordering from Amazon will come?

Free shipping as of 40 euro. That's the same as a Kleinmengenzuschlag.

If you need something small and unique, best to go for AliExpress - if not urgent.

Digitec used to be without delivery costs and no hit for small orders. They got taken over by Migros and that ended everything

Conrad isnít small. Itís the largest German electronics shop and has branches in 16 European countries... not as big as Amazon but clearly not your local sme either.

Re: Kleinmengenzuschlag

FYI if you order a small item that can be shipped in an envelope (i.e., cables, etc.) you will skip the Zuschlag.

Re: Kleinmengenzuschlag

5 CHF ist still a moderate price. Many other shops have 9 CHF.

It's not unusual to pay for delivery. I paid amazon for delivery - the overall price was 20% less than the item price alone at Conrad.

I can understand that Conrad don't want to deal with small orders it's just a little frustrating for shoppers.

Digitec and Microspot have no added cost if you select in-store pickup.

So they do not charge extra for you buying something in their physical store? How very generous of them!
