Registered key - cutting!

We bought our apartment in 2017. It comes with a ski locker that’s in another part of the building. Last year I lost one of the 2 keys we had for it. I just went to try and get a new one cut, to be told it’s registered. They wouldn’t cut it without a “card”..... we don’t have this card.

Is there any way I can easily sort this out? It’s possible I binned the card not realising what it was. I don’t expect the previous owners will have it. All the shop told me was the name of a company “Immer AG” ... though I didn’t quite get what they were saying.

"Change of ownership or loss

If you are not authorized to order (loss of security card / change of owner), the new owner must first be authenticated for secured systems. To make this possible, the manufacturers of the locking systems require different documents. Most of these are excerpts from the land register and copies of ID documents that prove that you are the owner of the property where the locking system is installed."

Re: Registered key - cutting!

Shit, this form is a nightmare!!

2. Bestellberechtigung ändert:
2.1
....................

How much will it cost to get "eine Kopie eines Teiles* des aktuellen Grundbuchauszuges" or what exactly is "einer aktuellen Eigentümerauskunft"

..... plus we need the old owners to sign it??

Re: Registered key - cutting!

Buy a new lock My girlfriend forced to me get a second key cut for my mailbox. It cost three times as much as I could have bought a new lock with three keys for.

Re: Registered key - cutting!

No lol no need to have the old owners sign, their signature would however replace alll other requirements.

If thats not possible you will need proof of ownership not older than 6 month and some form of identification ex passport etc.

A copy from the Grundbuch should not be more than 20 chf.
Check with your Grundbuchamt if they offer it online.

Or like Landers said, buy a new lock. Should be possible since you still have 1 key.

Oh right. Fab!

A new lock might be the answer..... but knowing my luck, they'd refused to change a registered lock

You can replace the lock if you like, it's your property!

But if you want the new lock to match the building access locks you'd still need the card or the equivalent from the building owners.

Nope you can buy a new lock without authorization, we changes our cellar one like that but of course then we need 2 keys. But just called up a key person who came and installed it.

If it is anyway 2 sepaarte keys not linked to the other doors etc then this is the simplest way.

Re: Registered key - cutting!

The key/lock is completely separate to other locks. Might be the best option.

Also bear in mind you don't have to replace the whole lock; you just need a new cylinder. About 50 - 100 CHF from Hornbach with three keys.
