Re: Travelling across the border for shopping

News for France:

https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/new...ird-countries/

From Monday, arrivals from countries in the green list will be able to enter the French metropolitan territory without the need to provide proof of their purpose of entry, undergo multiple tests or quarantine. Travellers from the green list who are not vaccinated, however, will have to present proof of a PCR or antigen test taken within the last 72 hours before their arrival to France.

Nothing changes if you are not vaccinated.

In Ticino they make free antigen tests in the pharmacies, the limit is maximum 1 test per person per week.
Is the same in Zurich?
Self-made antigen tests are not valid in this case...

The free ones in Ticino are NOT valid for travel to Italy, my wife pays for the ones needed for travel (now only for travel longer than 24 hours, or more than 60km from home).

This information is wrong. My friend had this test and went to Italy several times. It was blocked at the border several times and it was all ok.
It is also in Ministero degli Esteri that antigen covid test is valid test to go to Italy.

It has to be the antigen with a written report, NOT the free ones without.

My wife goes several times a month, if she could do it without paying, she would.

You can have free antigen test with written report in few pharmacies in Lugano.
Only one per week per person.

It is the same in Zurich. There are many pharmacies that make antigen test with report for free. It is only matter to find one.
I have tried many and finally I found one close to where I live.
Now that antigen test is accepted in France I can go to France without spending anything for the covid test.

Wouldn't it be helpful to tell the community here the result? Or is the post only meant to be a teaser?

Sorry, but this is the second time this week-end. The other one was "there are plenty of farms offering lunch" with no examples. Yup, it's beginning to annoy me.
