Governments and banks don't like crypto. So good reasons to invest a little |

It seem like the next big coin to break out will be Ethereum: https://finance.yahoo.com/video/ethe...tentType=VIDEO
Given the latest developments in the domain of DeFi and all the upgrades, it was quite predictable. The price target is gonna be mooning soon |

20x in past 1 year vs. "just" 6.75 of BTC in the same period.
But sure, who knows where else it (or any other coin) can potentially go. |

With the stock markets in red and with investors spooked out by stronger inflation data than expected, the coins are rallying: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/bitco...083700636.html |

Possibly the largest life-changing event in wealth creation for those who knew to take advantage of the opportunity like many people I know in the Cryptosphere (including myself).

Now Elon not only should go and buy it back for couple of billions but also go back to his tweets and apologize all the same.

| | Re: Mass adoption crypto | Quote: | | | | Every year, Salvadoran emigrants send $ 6 billion home in remittances, from places like the United States. In fact, 2.2 million people of Salvadoran descent live in the United States, compared to 6.5 million in El Salvador. Today, remittances from Salvadoran emigrants must travel back through intermediaries who receive cuts of up to 20 percent. | | | | | Someone on twitter shared a link to local media on the issue: https://diarioelsalvador.com/tron-es...bitcoin/89589/
This is where things get interesting. Fine, I can buy now a huge TV with bitcoin from local retail shops. What do the retailers and importers will do with the bitcoin? Can they pay the people making the TVs in China with it? Gas stations, airlines? At some point the business need to convert bitcoin to something other people on the other extreme of supply chains want.
I'd be more interested on what big business like United Airlines do. Will they take bitcoin from plane tickets bought from El Salvador? Could business say 400 USD plane ticket and the equivalent of 1000 USD in bitcoin for same plane ticket......lots of open questions. Why carry the risk of accepting 400 USD in bitcoin and have 380 USD in bitcoin a few min later?
In general, I think people over there will stick to paper USD bills and carry on as normal.

I'm also curious at what the effect of bitcoin will be to the country balance of payments and what creditors think about the new policy. I'm surprised that El Salvador went from having zero sovereign debt to 12E+9 USD in the last 2 years. Will the IMF accept bitcoin for bond payment? https://data.worldbank.org/indicator...D?locations=SV | This user would like to thank Axa for this useful post: | |

Right now, bitcoin is a number of USD, in the end. Apart from a few comedy items you can't really do much with them except swap them back to FIAT which is what 99% of the people investing are doing it for anyway.
Once people start thinking "wow, down to 1 bitcoin from 3bitcoins because its on action" and no further along, then we are getting somwhere. And don't tell me that will happen in el salvador. the bitcoin announcement in el salvador is just to make their horrendously corrupt government even richer.
