| I sent a package to Germany from Germany and a Swiss return address. The German post told me to remove it unless the item was valuable. If it gets lost you have to pay the return fees and administration which he said are rather expensive | |

I had a problem recently with contact lenses sent from my optician back in Scotland. The PO back there didn't put the value on the customs form, so I got a letter from Die Post telling me I needed to supply a receipt stating the value and showing they'd already been paid for plus the proof of posting from the UK before the shipment could be processed. If I couldn't supply this within 14 days and it had to be returned to Scotland I'd be fined anything from 65 - 200CHF for the admin costs. Sent it all off in the post, then a week letter got a reminder about it so I sent it again via email. Had an email back saying it was being dealt with.
Lenses turned up this morning, I had to pay 58CHF for the delivery
