| Hello Evryone
i am working since 9years in a company based in basel.
last week had a meeting with HR telling me that the contract was going to be over.
i hade an other meeting for signing the paper that is saying "you have been invited for a meeting today and have been informed that we will terminate your employment agreement as of 28.02.21"
so i wonder if that is saying that they are fireing me or if its a amicable breach of contras ?
thanks in advance for your answers! | |

that thing you signed is just for them to have a paper trail that they did indeed tell you "we terminate your contract".
There is no need for that but it makes sense to have it.
What's important is that they wrote "we are terminating your contract", so you can get unemployment payments.
This is a regular termination so no reason is needed.
A termination effective immediate with no notice needs to be grounded. This is different from terminating a contract in a regular way and sending the person on garden leave because you don't need them at all.
