Do you know these people and scenes?

Pictures from a lost or abandoned 35mm film canister contains scenes from Switzerland.

Anyone recognise this couple?

Mystery photos found on a Swiss roll of film from the 1950s.

Re: Do you know these people and scenes?

I didn't get if they found out who was in these pictures, the woman is simply beautiful. But then, what was meant to be private perhaps should remain private?

I'd be more interested in the camera though, it is written in the article that it was a Leica but not the model. I mean, the quality is just amazing.

"I was not sure which of my old Leica cameras the film cassette had come with.
"But I believed it was from a camera from the mid-1930s.
Any specialists here who could maybe give me a hint?

If mid-1930s then probably a Leica 2 or 3 hubby reckons.

Re: Do you know these people and scenes?

I thought the woman was very pretty and the doggy was lovely as well. Hope someone recognises the people in the photos and claims them, it would be lovely if they are someones parents or grandparents.

The guy who found the film reckons early 50‘s judging from the appearance of Zurich.

Re: Do you know these people and scenes?

I'd say the woman's clothes are early 50s. I have photos of my mum taken in 1951 and she's dressed like this.

Yes, but he also said he thought the camera was from the mid-30's. See greenmount's earlier quote from his link.

early 50's when the pictures were taken, not when the camera they were taken on was made.

I agree, she is very beautiful. I also wondered about the privacy. Yet I find myself wanting to know, too, if the mystery is revealed.

There's a bit more about the camera(s) towards the end of this article.

They do not look ‘Swiss’ to me. My Dad (with deep Bern roots) also has the cleft chin. But here the mouth and the stature looks imperialistic.

Yes. But it's funny, padded shoulder jacket is back though. Again.

Re: Do you know these people and scenes?

It's a good puzzle.

They don't look so ordinary to me, contrary to article.
