The problem is that why did the chicken cross the road style jokes are just a bit old fashioned. It's like asking if anyone's got any good embroidery patterns for an antimacassar.

The only reason you're getting any response at all is due to the particular demographics of the EF audience.
"Antimacassar" I had to google that.

So you're not a Brylcreem man, huh?

I'm actually surprised they never made a comeback given the plethora of rather greasy-looking male hair grooming products nowadays (I prefer my hair au naturel). Of course, they never did go away on airplanes and trains; but nobody's going to embroider those...

When I was a kid, though I preferred "Groom & Clean".

Re: Coronavirus Jokes

My OH's dad used to use something called Vitalis - OH had a little bit of hair that stuck up at the back of his crown when he was a boy and his dad used to stick it down with it lol.

My Pa was a Brylcreem man and didn't believe in aftershave, he said there was nothing wrong with the smell of Lifebuoy soap. My Ma used to complain about him not smelling like other men with a bit more finesse

Whatever happened to aftershave? Back in the 70s it was everywhere and was the standard Christmas present for your dad (who invariably ended up with a bathroom cabinet full of Hai Karate and Brut). I can't say I've ever used it.

I bought it for my mom for Xmas. I couldn't read yet.

She still has it.

I find English Forum so strange.

Where are all English Forum's creative, funny, obnoxious trolls?

If you try to start a serious, well-meaning innocuous thread with a valuable question, then all the trolls come out and bash you, find something to argue about, derail an innocent straightforward discussion into something contentious and controversial, bomb you will all kinds of their version of humor, etc.

So I thought this thread would be a great, redirection and channeling of all the EF bashers' talents.

I thought this will be great. They will all come out with all kinds of twisted ways of looking at things and give loads of good joke.
But we still have to but up with miserable sods...

Nope. And lightbulb changing jokes will never go out of fashion because they don't date.

I liked Pancakes' 'It' joke. It's just some of us don't live on here.

You know what they say: feed a cold, starve a fever, drink a corona.

The good news: starting next Tuesday, guys can ask girls on a date by inviting them not to a restaurant but directly home.

— Where have you been???
— Sweetheart, you wouldn’t believe what happened. John had coughed at me, so we had to quarantine in Mike’s garage for three days and disinfect ourselves.

To be fair there were few options left available for Boris ( Cromwell ) Johnson this year other than crack down
hard on the Brit's like The Roundheads did in days of yore, in those halcyon days before Britain joined
the EU; to stop the spread of the virus.

It went out of style because nobody wants to have sex with someone who smells like their dad.

True you wouldn't like to smell like Henry Cooper or Barry Sheene after splashing the great smell of Brut all over.
