Agree. We left our cat also alone at home during working days pre-covid. Never had a problem and I have the impression that cats need their private time.

Yes, they do. And if there is another cat, or if they have access to outside and nature- it's fine. On their own without outdoor access, I say no. I accept you disagree.

Cat rescues and refuges agree too.

Moreover, a cat, using a tray to pee and poo in, all day, in a studio ... the smell will be diabolical.

I don't live in a chamber, my studio has a big bathroom, a kitchen, a hallway, living room and a nice wide balcony. Anyway, I get your concern but like I said, it's just excessive for cats

I agree. An indoor cat in a studio is not the best decision.
