You are in a world of pain now, best would be to pay what is owed to the Gym and tell creditreform to pound sand.
I don´t get it, how can gyms get away with this kind of stuff in this day and age? | | | | | By just paying a non justified invoice why they get away with it.
To OP - I would send a registered letter to Creditreform disputing the invoice plus take contact with consumer protection.

I've send this people a letter telling them that I will not pay and there is no reason to pay because it wasn't on the contract. Furthermore, I've asked them to refund me 3 months.
they didn't reply me and I wasn't sure this was over. Yesterday I received a letter from Creditreform, a company who bought the debt and now they are asking me for money plus a fee. I will call on monday to this Konsumshutz organization to see what can I do. | | | | | If I were you, I would ignore it. If they want the money, let them send the Betreibung and go to court, which they most probably won’t do.

Reycobos, absolutely do not bury your head in the sand and simply 'ignore' letters from credit agencies because they are known for aggressively pursuing people.
There have been numerous threads about dealing with agencies like Creditreform and Interim Justicia and these are generally solved by paying the part of the fee that you actually owe and not paying the additional fee that they add on for the debt recovery https://www.englishforum.ch/finance-...ased-debt.html | This user would like to thank Chuff for this useful post: | | This user groans at Chuff for this post: | |

The part that I didn’t owe was requested by the Interim Judicia once, and I have completely ignored it. For over 10 years (maybe longer) Interim Judicia keeps sending me letters and requesting payment, they even offering a discount on the debt if I pay it quickly. I will always ignore it. Maybe just for fun I will publish it here next time I get the letter from them.

For thirteen yeas from 2008, the absolutely groundless bill is being requested by the agency Intrum from me. I happen to have the copy of their letter from 2020, they offer 30% reduction in this letter. In 13 years I have never answered them.
I think nobody should be intimidated into paying anything by these debt agencies and their additional fees. If you feel that the bill is wrong, clarify the bill with the company which issued the bill. I don’t see any reason to discuss the bills with these debt agencies though, I am not their customer and never made any contract with them, why should I talk to them? They are welcome to proceed with their claims if they can. I would be happy to stand by my opinion and argue my case in front of the judge (if this ever comes that far, which I really doubt).
Edit: the text in the attachment is not easily readable, please PM me if you would like to read a better copy of this letter. For 13 years they request payment within 14 days and also offer a discount on the debt… what a joke, how could anyone take these guys seriously?

Just another example of their disgusting tactics.... By the way does anybody remember that poor bugger from IJ who came on forum and tried to justify their policies?

The only legal right these companies have is to send letters and scare foreigners, and there is no statute of limitations for doing this. Legally people even don’t have to respond to these debt collection companies, apart from sending scary letters these companies legally have no way to act on these debts.

And yes, they can act on them.

Tom | | | | | I was sarcastic about scaring foreigners, implying that the Swiss don’t get scared that easily. Of course they send it to Swiss as well. I started getting these letters from them while I was a foreigner and keep getting them after becoming Swiss.
Would you give an example when they acted on these warnings? Anyone you know, or maybe read about?
