| | The Local articles - always errors
Edit: Looks like possibly I got it wrong.... I partially take it back, I do still see many errors. Does The Local ever research anything properly? I’m always seeing massive errors in their articles. https://www.thelocal.ch/20210325/exp...o-switzerland/ This one earlier said the U.K. comes off the quarantine list on the 5th, instead of today. They have now corrected that, but the rest is totally wrong and out of date. There is only one at risk/quarantine list these days and the U.K. and US are not on it.
I’m glad I’m not a paid subscriber.

Hi (again)
Apologies, I'm new here and I really don't want this to come across as asking the same question over and over, but I'm really quite confused by your statement regarding there only being one list these days.
Information on the relevant websites indicates there are two lists, one from FOPH and one from SEM.
FOPH for mandatory quarantine
SEM for entry into Switzerland (Annex 1, actually wrapped up in the larger set of ordinances governing Switzerlands approach to Coronavirus)
I emailed SEM with a question regarding entry from the UK now that it is off the FOPH list and they've confirmed that entry for touristic or non-work / residency purposes is still not permitted as the UK is not included on their list of 3rd country exceptions.
Again, apologies if I'm getting this completely wrong.

Maybe I’m wrong. If so I take it all back. But any info contrary to the main quarantine list is buried so deep it’s impossible to find for the normal traveller. I’m sure I read it was now one list..... but I could totally be wrong.

Why would you EVER read the local?
It's a mashup of FOX and CNN!

Ah ok, for what it's worth I really hope the FOPH list is the only one, but looking at the actual COVID Ordinance which sets out all of the measures and exceptions, the UK and USA are still classed as 'risk countries' by SEM. It maintains a relatively small list of 3rd country exceptions, in the below link (it is also replicated within the actual guidance note). https://www.sem.admin.ch/sem/en/home...countries.html https://www.fedlex.admin.ch/eli/cc/2020/438/en
The ordinance note is due for update on April 1st, I really hope UK is added to the list in Annex 1. It's a little confusing how a country can still be considered a COVID risk even though quarantine is not required.

That annex 1 is so well hidden, they make it really bloody confusing.

Tom | | | | | False!
It's a known fact that The Local news is just a newsbot that harvests the misinformation posted by the kooks on the EF.

Well, once a BBC article had obvious mistakes. I emailed them on the link below the article. They never responded nor edited the article
It was actually this one: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europ...(%C2%A33%2C350).
quote: "A single room is 1,000 francs a month, if you can survive on 500 francs a month for food you're a very good manager, health insurance is 550 a month per person. If you are a family with two kids, you barely scrape by."
So whatever the source one should be careful with what to believe... In this case it is something that's so easy to check if it is true or not...
