baby/toddler bed with a door

I am looking for a bed for an older baby who can already get on her feet.

I want to be able to sit next to her so I need something that has either a door or sliding mechanism and is able to bear an adult's weight.

Preferably wooden...

The only thing I could find was in health shops for people with disabilities with insane prices (6k+). I feel for disabled people... No way such high prices could be justified

Are you looking for a toddler bed which will hold an adult's weight as well?

Maybe you could post a picture...

yes + want to be able to close it so that the baby is safe in it.

My sister has it but in another country and had it custom made...

What she got is a bed that she used for her child since birth and can be used to adulthood:

- height can be adjusted
- length can be adjusted
- front side can slide up-down

Re: baby/toddler bed with a door

The door would pose an entrapment/finger trap problem. Which is why you don't see them in baby stores in Europe.

I have seen cots/baby cages in Childcare centres like this... but none that are on the floor where the child can easily get out if the door is open...

Re: baby/toddler bed with a door

The Stokke Sleepi is very popular.... the bed doesn't have a door as such, but there is a central panel that's removable and with the extension kit is adjustable enough to go from a newborn crib to a teenager's bed.
Then it can become two chairs.
