| | Expats from UK: Non bio laundry detergent for allergic child
Hi All
We have just relocated from the UK where I used Fairy/Persil non-bio laundry detergents since my son is allergic to detergents with enzymes
Although I will have some coming with the rest of our furniture and household stuff from the UK in about 2 weeks, I need to get some urgently.
Do you know what non-bio products are available here and where I could get them from, I could not see any on coop/migros. I do not know any german so hard to decipher contents on the labels. I have already tried a few products labelled sensitive or for babies but they still seem to contain the enzymes and giving my son his allergy.
Please help!

I have 2 Savons de Marseille, hard one and liquid one. Not sure if there are enzymes in the liquid one which is for the washer, but maybe it is enzyme free?

I think the Held brand at coop and some of the Filetti brand at Migros laundry detergents are enzyme free.

Reason: Added store for the Filetti brand.

I use Held/Ecover "Free" Sensitive powder, and it is pretty good. (Available at Coop or Bio Shops).
A friend of mine uses Washnuts... And swears by them.

Please help! | | | | | We buy non-bio washing liquid from Amazon UK. Also nappies.
Too heavy to carry easily when you don't have a car.

I guess there are also other (ex) Proctorians or (ex)Henkels also here in the EF who can give faith... beyond (and above) the enzymes used on the washing liquids (or washing powders), the PERFUME is the main contributor to allergic reactions in the form of Atopic Dermatitis (leading to eczemas, rashes, itches, etc etc).
Fully agree with the comment above - Savon de Marseille (the real one, 78% olive oil) might be the best solution (better than the 'bio' options-- yes, there is also a liquid version of savon de Marseille.
And, no, not to be confused with the French brand 'Le Petit Marsellais"
Cheers

Shilpa | | | | | Ive never had any issues - I just order and it arrives. There is a fee for delivering to Switzerland, but on the other hand the prices are lower than advertised because of lower vat on many products. Generally it is easy and intuitive to use and not a headache.

My son has allergy to many soaps. I use Neutral, a Scandinavian brand and I bought it online at Scandishop.ch
Cheers

Have you tried soapberries? I think it is Waschnuss in German. https://ch.iherb.com/pr/NaturOli-Org...gs-32-oz/38320
They also sell them in Alnatura, Egli, and similar bio-shops.
Excep already mentioned ones there are also some options on iherb worth checking.
