By 'green stuff' do you mean algae or moss?
If so, there are products specifically designed to do that. One is Mellerud, available at the Coop B/H (and elsewhere):

But no matter what you use you still need to wash the furniture down, which when on a balcony means being careful about dripping over onto your neighbor.
For that reason, I find power washing the best solution. It's only water, not chemicals that might harm your neighbour's property. (Or pets!) Chat with your neighbors about finding a way to minimise disturbance to them.
By the way, I have a low-end Karcher power washer that isn't all that powerful. I use it for cleaning garden furniture and anything else where I need more control.
