Vaccination for teenagers (12 - 15)?

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have any reference as to when the vaccination for kids between 12-15 will be carried out in Switzerland? I am asking for my daughter who is now 15!

Re: Vaccination for teenagers (12 - 15)?

Representative of BAG said that not earlier than when all the willing from the older groups are vaccinated.

Probably each canton will decide independently based on the availability of the vaccines.

Thank you very much TinyK for the prompt input! :-) So perhaps we need to wait longer, I heard they would start as of July, but July seems too soon for that!

July seems realistic to me, as there will be more and more free slots when all who wants books their appointments. Also the number of kids 12 - 15 years in CH is only few hundreds thousands, and about half of the parents will be reluctant in the beginning, also many will be on holidays already.

Depends if they will do the first child vaccinations after the adult first doses are finished (in which case we are looking at c. second half of July), or whether after the second doses are finished (c. mid to late August).
