Buying from Galaxus - extra charge?

Hi, another shopping-related query from this Swiss-newbie

I am trying to buy a television from Galaxus. From what i can see on the website, I would expect to be charged the following:
* purchase price
* delivery & installation cost (in this case they are a combined cost)

Total price in the shopping cart comes to 774. Yet when I click 'To Pay' and the window comes up to enter my credit card details, the price shows 806.45

Is there a way to understand what the additional 30ish francs is for?

edit: I have no idea how to make the image bigger/clearer without exceeding the upload size limits. Any tech-fu advice is also gratefully received

Did you add an extended warranty or anything?

I've gone back and double-checked, definitely had no additional services or requests added

Re: Buying from Galaxus - extra charge?

Hopefully this image works okay - it's the cart breakdown. There doesn't appear to be anything additional, but as soon as I click 'buy now' and am prompted for CC details, the price increases

Hi.

The climate compensation green button/slide bar looks active. Even if it says zero, the bar is green. Looks like a bug in galaxus' site.

They have nothing to gain by hiding the cost as they forward the additional charge. And IIRC the total shown is binding.

So, probably a real bug and worth reporting.

Installation and delivery of TV for 125chf???

Delivery is free......so you're literally paying 125chf for someone to take it out of the box and plug it in.......

Theoretically I'm on board with the concept of reporting things that aren't functioning correctly.. but given this is the second time I've used the site, and the second time I've had to call on EF to help me figure out how to check out successfully, I'm not confident in my own abilities to go any further

Yeah, I thought that was pretty steep too!

But at checkout it said it wasn't eligible for free delivery (I assume it was a weight issue?) - and then the first level delivery was only curb-side. Out of the options it gave me, this one was the cheapest.

Re: Buying from Galaxus - extra charge?

Galaxus can be a confusing website!

Depending on what floor you live on, that delivery and installation price can be so worth it. We had a gas grill delivered as a gift, curbside only—the guy refused to help me bring it up three flights of stairs. Thankfully we had a garage to put it in while I waited for my husband to come home. We had to bring it up in pieces because it was just too heavy.

Re: Buying from Galaxus - extra charge?

Could it be the fee they charge these days as a contribution for disposal?
Having said that it should have been listed on the invoice.

Have a friend with a car?
TVs are super light today, you should have no trouble carrying it yourself + 1.

Re: Buying from Galaxus - extra charge?

I use galaxus a lot .. Well maybe 3 - 4 times per month. I've never been charged for delivery so maybe as somebody said it's disposal charge or something ..

I've even ordered a double bed from there and it was free delivery. It was a flat pack metal frame but was ~50kg, delivered by the normal post lady.. I had to lift out of her van.

For a newbie having someone install (drilling into walls?) and set up something so it works from day 1 125f is a bargain.

For an experienced EFer it’s a rip-off.

.
It wouldn't include the drilling - that's an extra charge.

OP: I just put the same TV in my cart (the basic price is now higher) and delivery was free but I could pay CHF 89 to have it delivered to place of installation and another CHF 89 to have a wall bracket fitted.

You do have to put in your address so it may be that you live in the middle of nowhere but I really think there was a hiccup when you tried to order and the basic delivery should have been free.
