Recycling/donating shoes in Basel

Anyone has recently donated or given away old shoes for recycling in Basel stadt? We went to Surseepark a couple of weeks ago, and came across a machine that accepts old shoes in exchange for a lottery ticket (or something like that). Wondering if there is something similar here in Basel. But we wouldn't mind also given them away.

Shoes can usually be given with the Texaid or similar bags that you receive in the mailbox. The gather them usually twice a year from the street. Its on a given daten which is printed on the bag. Other than that there are "Sammelboxen" from Berghilfe or Texaid or others. All these boxes also take shoes. You can also aks a Brocki (Brockenhaus) if they take shoes. Some do.

Try this wonderful place, that has regular "fashion days" for the needy to come and take stuff:

The small team is wonderful, and so welcoming. Just make sure used items are in great condition.

Another charity that welcomes donations of clothes is Caritas.

Vögele Shoe Shop accepts them and offer you 1Fr. Bon for each pair.

All over, except the French part I think.
