Report 2- Young adults and old people not wearing mask on the bus. One particular old lady was told off by another lady last week, but she does not care and is still not wearing any mask. She is the spitting image of older Margaret Thatcher!

The data presented is overwhelmingly TLDR, but my simple brain is funnily imagining the chances of the virus slipping past fire and filter into a smoker's lung and in case it does, will surely bat out of there at the first sneeze | The following 3 users would like to thank JourneyMan for this useful post:

According to this study while current smokers appear to be at reduced risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection, former smokers appear to be at increased risk of hospitalisation, greater disease severity and mortality from COVID-19.
Maybe active smokers just spend more times outside taking a smoke break and socializing. Less exposure to harmful aerosoles indoors could outweigh the harm caused by smoking itself. | The following 2 users would like to thank Verne for this useful post:

| | | | | The we should be able to drop the mask and vaccine mandates and tell employees to go for a short break outside every hour or so.

The study said "current smokers appear to be at reduced risk", not at "no risk". But, hey, I'm all for more breaks outside for everybody. | This user would like to thank Verne for this useful post:

Exactly.
And once you'll be able to understand how this works then you will understand this vast subject and the covid-circus. Until then it's more like "I know something because the TV told me"
