TicketCorner. Is this legal?

So in 2020 we bought tickets for Eric Clapton at the Hallenstaion 5 June 2020, it was delayed twice until 17 May 2022. On the 16th, after we had arrived in Zurich, they delayed it again due M. Clapton having contracted the disease.

Today we received a message saying itís rescheduled for 7 October. It goes on to say if we donít like the new date we can claim against their insurance IF we had purchased it. (I donít think they offered it when we bought the tickets) Or our household insurance may cover it. Otherwise we might be able to resell the tickets using their website.

Well F***. We have been very patient waiting for them and we have spent a lot of money travelling to/from Zurich. Now, if WE donít like their dates, well f*** off.

At very least they can give us our money back.

So, is this legal or do they have an obligation to refund us in full?

Re: TicketCorner. Is this legal?

Ticketcorner is just the organization facing the customers. However, who's the person/organization that is in charge of the event and effectively has your money?

update:it seems a company named Gadget abc entertainment group AG has your money and there's not much to do beyond finding a greater fool:

In the event of a definitive cancellation of the event for any reason, the ticket in question must be returned within 30 days of cancellation to the advance booking office where it was purchased/ordered. Re: TicketCorner. Is this legal?

I suspect that clause appeared after we bought the tickets. In any case it is so one sided giving them all the benefits with none going to the purchaser. I canít see how it has any validity. Contracts must be balanced níest pas?

That would be very interesting. If you got your tickets and then they changed their general terms and conditions there's something to do.

Re: TicketCorner. Is this legal?

I feel for you. I have had the same ...

1) Concert when the 3 reschedule falls on Sunday of long weekend in 10 days and hence cannot go...
2) Concert that was now scheduled for May 7th (3rd date) and now pushed to Dec (by which time I am sure we will have the 73rd wave).

I find it annoying but there is not much to do and I decided to just live with it as life is too short.

Ticketcorner, ticketmaster, all these companies are a bunch of .....s.

That said, the concert is sold out ( guess a lot of people still want to see the old racist ) surely you'll be rid of them if you were to post them on Ricardo.

Their T&Cs prohibit that. You can only resell via ticketcorner.

Chargeback is not magic, it is usually refused if you are using to circumvent the terms of a valid sale.

Re: TicketCorner. Is this legal?

Iíve posted the tickets on TickerCornerís Fan Sale site. https://www.fansale.ch/fansale/eric-...8948.htm?ptc=2

The Bar-Stewards are charging us 10% (CHF42) for the privilege and will charge the purchaser CHF 30 ďserviceĒ charge.

If anyone would like to cut out the middleman Iíll sell them at the 420 face value directly. Send me a PM.

They are really good seats in Row 13.

How will they know though? I bought tickets a couple of times from there and while the ticket has my name on it, they never ask for id at the venue.
