Two People Stabbed - Morning attack

Apparently, an American man was responsible for two separate knife attacks within an hour Wednesday morning.

Re: Two People Stabbed - Morning attack

I read this yesterday - would love to know more. Dude here on vacation mad that there isn't any snow for skiing? A burned out Credit Suisse employee? A disgruntled EFer who was recently banned for giving out tit for tat red blobbies?

(Sorry Matty, had to make the joke)

Re: Two People Stabbed - Morning attack

Reading between the lines, it looks like a man, a long way from home, with serious mental illness problems.

Is 38 not considered young anymore?
Maybe I’m just old but I would call a 38 year old a young man.

I think young is under 25, definitely under 31. Otherwise you're just in your 30's.
Mind you I was born in the 80's and seeing Kids in the workplace born after I started college is a shock. Many more shocks to come I suppose.

I initially read that he was 22 but that was the age of one of his victims.

I think anyone under 25 could be considered a young person.

I don't consider myself particularly old but I read an article about an ocean going, cargo carrying, sailing ship - which was still in service just a few years before my birth.

According to this 20 minutes article, they say he's a tourist. Motive still unclear.

There is no universal consensus on what the exact definition of middle age is, but usual characteristics include the beginning of rapid decline of fertility, graying of hair, and lessening of opportunities. The American Psychological Association defines "middle adulthood" as beginning at 35 or 36, and many ranges do not end until 60 or 65. The Lancet considers midlife as starting from around age 40. Modern social scientists generally agree that midlife begins around 35 to 40 and ends around 55 to 60.
