People still watch TV? I think the last time I had the TV TV on was during the World Cup. Otherwise it's only Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sky etc.

I prefer to read my news ...
If I didn't occasionally scan the channels I'd have missed out on gems such as Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. This is the problem of on demand/streaming - you miss out on stuff that is brilliant and you wouldn't ordinarily watch.

When you go back home to visit family and accidentally do the kiss-kiss-kiss thing when you first see your Mom.

I read a study once that claimed most Italians learned Italian from TV after it became widespread, before that they mostly spoke only local dialects.

Always thought they mostly spoke with hand signals

I assume the "J" is silent as in "elephant".

I think Roegner's spelling is right. Ive said Jööööö in Ireland a few times and people have looked at like Ive lost the plot.

You get a strange kind of joy when seeing that your neighbour has put their huge newspaper bundle out on Karton collection day. And it’s still there The day after collection day.
