What are you doing for St. Patricks day???

What is everyone doing this Friday 17th March for St. Patricks day. I might go along to the venue that has been advertised on here but in the night time there is a meeting in Luzern with lots of other Ebglish speaking ex-pats attending so I may got there too, but what is everyone else doing?

Cheers

Chris

Well, being Irish I'm obviously going to go to the pub. First though, I'll hold a short Apero in work in the afternoon (Beer and Whiskey only: Real drinking unlike most noncy Swiss Aperos).

Then, next stop probably the Noble Dubliner. Has to be done, as it's nominally Zuerich's only Irish pub. Actually, Paddy's night was great there the last two years because the weather was good enough that they could open a bar on the street outside too.

Following that, I'm thinking about going to the Twist - then after closing time on to the traditional Friday night/Saturday morning venue: The Nelson.

Then, back to the pub again (Twist probably) on Saturday for the rugby. Though if Wales lose to France, the Ireland-England match is a bit of a moot point. Still, have to beat England no matter what :-)

Edit: I should add, anyone interested in meeting up for a drink on the day should send me an email through the forum. It'll go to my private account. However, I'm likely to be pretty smashed by 7-8pm even......

Cheers,

Gavan
