| | Is it possible to fall in love on a Swiss Air flight?? I caught the 13.50 Swiss Air flight from Heathrow to Zurich last Sunday (2 November). I arrived at check-in at 13.03 (it closed at 13.05), WH Smith didn't have any copies of GQ and it was a really busy flight and a bit chaotic. So I should have been stressed and grumpy and tired. But amid the madness of people trying to stuff big bags into small overhead compartments and families trying to negotiate seats together having booked in late and found themselves split across rows and aisles I had one of those Kelly le Brock, Weird Science, moments.
Now it was a bit unconventional as my moment involved a lady with a child of I'd say 3-4 years and also a small baby of less than 6 months. She was also on crutches (although not in plaster). But my goodness she was beautiful and extremely sexy and after settling into her seat diagonally opposite in the row infront she turned and gave me one of the sweetest sexiest smiles I've ever received.
I don't know if she reads this forum or if anyone knows her. Blond, tall, leggy, stylish, beautiful. Definitely English but based on her discussions with the steward fluent in German. I think she lives outside Zurich as I heard he pointing out the house to her little girl as we flew over. I'm no scientist but clearly, she has (had) a man in her life but there was no wedding or engagement ring…
Not sure why I am writing this to be honest but Sunday was my 91st flight of the year and despite being manic and hectic it definitely ranks up there as one of the best! If you do read this forum I just wanted you to know that you made my Sunday afternoon oh and that you are beautiful. You will no doubt remember me. I was the weird guy who spent most the flight pretending to be reading but actually staring at you!
You know, I had actually worked out how I was going to strike up conversation (I was going to offer to carry the bag under the seat and then delight you with the one-liners and anecdotes I'd been rehearsing in my head) but alas you decided to wait until the end before getting off, actually a wise choice.
To the rest of the forum, if you see a slightly overweight, caffeine weird Englishman at around 6ish on Saturday that will be me following my Zurich Starbucks tour. I hear that's where sexy mothers hang out so on the off-chance I'll be hitting the mocha's with aplomb... | The following 14 users would like to thank davejones97 for this useful post: | Castro, DFH, fargone, FMX, FrankZappa, gnartyuh, irinastaxen, jonip, möpp, Polorise, Sutter, Tilia, twinkletoes |

Woah.
Not sure what's scarier: the post in general or the fact that you count your flights even though they've almost reached triple figures.

Yes, it is possible. Happened to my last boss (American living in CH) on a flight back from the US to Zurich ... he passed her his cell # ... got the first SMS at the baggage claim ... and he recently got married to his Swiss Miss. | The following 3 users would like to thank tomcat for this useful post: | |

Great post, I wish you all the best. However it might be prudent to consider that she might be in a very happy, secure relationship and just happened to have misplaced her ring what with the kids, last minute packing, taxi waiting outside etc..

And thanks to this post I finally understand the phenomenon of James Blunt's appeal.
(God, I'm so grumpy today, I'll refrain from further posting )

If this was your 91st flight this year, you should know that "swiss-air" does not exist since years |

Very romantic post - great! Although I won't necessarily wish you good luck, as the lady in question does appear to have an active family life

also a small baby of less than 6 months.
| | | | | I am sure this baby was not one that she had with a husband, but more likely a one night stand with a man she met on a Swiss Air flight. Go for it! | The following 2 users would like to thank ExMilExPat for this useful post: | | This user groans at ExMilExPat for this post: | |

It is a scientifically proven fact that when two people who fancy each other make eye contact, their pupils dilate. This also brings on that floaty feeling and butterflies in the stomach.
Women feeling this tend to give the object of their affections a big grin. Men start sweating profusely, find that their normally well behaved tongues have swollen to fill their mouths, and that they have turned into blithering idiots. (I know who gets the best deal out of this!)
The good news for you is that this is never unidirectional. If you honestly felt it, then so did she.
Cheers
Jim

It is very romantic. I am still alarmed at your ability to count flights. I struggle to remember my own age!
