Wow DavidButler, it's great. I bought the software to make easier the work and it works perfect.
True, software usually works good. My problem was mainly the lighting...since it was prob. around 8 or more shots...I don't recall the detail now.

Re: Post Your Photos From Switzerland!

For a good panorama, three things are crucial:
1 Manual exposure (you should usually expose to the brightest part of the picture)
2 Manual Focus ( perhaps infinity or hyperfocal distance)
3 A tripod

This will guarantee consistency over the panorama.

Since I only have a consumer level camera, there isn't a lot of manual functions. It does have some manual settings, but I haven't gotten around to learning the ins and outs.
What I did do to minimize the difference is to focus on the region of the previous shot, then pan over to the new area to cover, that way it minimizes the difference in exposure from the first shot to the last.... make sense, my explanation?? :-)

Tripod....so far, I think I've only used my tripod for moon shots.... but I should use it more...

Hey, I took this one last saturday. What do you think about it?

One question: How do you attach those big photos?

That is a neat shot.

Seems the best way to post larger photos, is to first upload them to flickr, then you can chose the size you want to embed over here.

Just a random, probably off-topic post -- I think this is the most enjoyable thread on all of EF! Thank you to all who contribute, you're an amazingly creative bunch.

Heart-warming to see those fantastic images of Switzerland!

My guess is Annuminas. It appears to be King Elessar (Aragorn) on his deathbed with Queen Arwen. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Post Your Photos From Switzerland!

Taken late one day last week up the end of the Schilstal valley behind Flumserberg. The Grossberg is on the left and the back of the Kleinberg on the right. You can't actually drive up to where I am unless you have a farming, logging or hunting license but you can park at the bottom of the hill and walk up the tracks or Wanderwegs. It is so remote (yet just 10 mins drive from the A3 at Flums) you can walk for hours and not meet a soul, it's actually quite creepy!
