That looks a great ride..

Just looking on Google Maps and it looks mostly downhill.. Starts about 1200m and ends about 400m. So about 800m drop (2600ft).

Would you say it's a nice easy ride all the way or is it interspersed with hills?

Great Pix

Thanks

Its an easy ride.. really enjoyable , all easy downhill except for v short v slightly inclined sections (cant call them uphill).
I recommend going on a cloudy day though, on a clear day it can get too hot.
We started at 11am , took multiple breaks in between and finished at 5 pm. Enjoyable day all round. Cheap with the current promotion too.
And if you have time and energy , there is a waterfall at the Biasca station where people were bathing and having a good time .

Is it possible that you note which camera you used, because you guys have awesome pictures?

tis not the camera that makes the photo - it's the mug behind it who knows where to point it and how to ensure their vision comes out either in camera or they have sufficient fodder for post processing

that said - generally the better the glass (lens) the better the quality - and to control everything you're probably best off looking at a DSLR - they're pretty affordable now and even kit lenses are great stopped down a few f-stops

Nikon, Canon etc. doesn't really matter - you just need to know how to make it do what you want

Nikon have money back offers on their DSLRs a the moment and represent a good buy IMHO - see here: http://cashback.nikon.ch/?lang=de&event=DEZ2DhdZ

Good luck choosing!

Exactly what Jase said, but to add I'm also getting some cracking results from a cheapo (200CHF) compact that I bought recently. Sure my Nikon DSLR is way better when I'm in low light, or when I'm pixel peeping, but when it comes to posting images on the web, or up to A4 size prints the compact is perfectly acceptable.

best thing to do is buy a DSLR and start taking photos - start with AUTO then go to P and then start on Av (aperture prio) and M (full manual)

get and understanding, by reading on internet or else some simple manuals, what the different settings too

you could start with Scott Kelby's introduction to digital photography - 3 volumes and good info for a beginner.

Camera wise (ok I'm a Nikon guy but)
Nikon D3000 + 18-55 II kit lens for 593chf
Nikon D5000 + 18-55 II kit lens for 684chf

both represent great value for money and you could get something similar from Canon too

Good luck and have fun

Well, I have Sony hx1, it is not DSLR and I am beginner. From my point of view it is very hard to make all necessary adjustment before single picture. It just seems too complicated for me now. I am still on AUTO mode

What confuses me if I get DSLR I have to buy objectives additionally right? So does it mean I have to buy few and change them??? ooooh it is too complicated, but I enjoy in good photos and like too take them as well.

Thanks again for new advice

Like your tips, but I always go to toppreise to get the best deal and this is 90CHF cheaper:
