i know switzerland doesn't have huge supermarket malls with enormous selection of goods, but are there any quite big supermarkets in zurich or around it? When i was here for few days i only saw small coop and migros shops, with limited selection of goods.
Since Coop bought Carrefour, no. There are mega Coops and mega Migros but the only difference between them and your local corner Migros is they have more of the same goods on display which simply means it takes you longer to do your shopping.
For alternatives check out Aldi or go to France and Germany.
there are parking spaces, but i think they are quite expensive....depending on where you live, you can get your shopping brought to your house for chf 5
Massive Coop in Dietlikon with plenty of parking space. Make a day of it (if you dare) and attempt Ikea too...! There are also a range of other shops- Toys'r'us, Cinema, furniture stores, Mediamart etc there.

The delivery service from Sihlcity is great - we bought a computer there in November and they delivered it for 5chf. The whole package weighed in a 56lbs -- and it was delivered by bike. I felt so bad for the long uphill ride to Witikon that I tipped the delivery man an extra 10chf -- still a bargin.
