Does anyone know of any good fishing locations near me (Gossau SG) and how to get hold of a permit/license?

So, seems like everywhere is different in Switzerland, permissions, licenses, etc.

I am in Gossau though, admittedly, there are not a great deal of water bodies near me but I would like to travel somewhere relatively close by and fish there for a couple of days, I assume that getting the relevant information for the place where i would like to go would be more beneficial. Firstly, I need to find a place

I am more used to sea fishing than anything else, never had any success on the lakes or in rivers.

Ticino is probably the best in Switzerland - check out http://www.flyfishingparadise.eu/. They can show you the best spots.

I'm not so much into fising, but I know the guy who runs this website. He told me that also Austria would be great for flyfishing. German speaking CH seems less attractive - too many regulations, not much fish (again, that's what I've been told - don't know from own experience).
