Tom | | | | | Hope the better half will win over and she'll only sing opera. Is that going down well with the Ticinesi? Or will that be even worse? |

Speaking of crap, the Romanian entry features yodeling.

Now, you're talking! And by watching me this Saturday at 18.45 on Potzmusig (SFR1), you can really treat yourself to a yodel-themed evening... as a painkiller, gallons of beer strongly recommended! | The following 3 users would like to thank McTAVGE for this useful post:

| | Re: Eurovision - anybody watching? | Quote: | | | | | Oh, I am so hurt.I thought you like yodelling....but well, you are not a real Swiss after all.
Jokes aside, the song was composed for Switzerland. Since they decided to come up with their own song, it was given to someone else (an 18 y.o. girl inspired by America's got talent yodelling performance) who participated into the national contest, and out of 10 or something songs they won. Simple.
Yodelling, my dear, is more popular the you think. lol
Debatable for French speaking Switzerland... we're like, well, freaks, actually! But brilliant to get a free drink in a bar or fondue evenings!

Just like for the Eurovision, you've got to watch it with an amused eye and not take it seriously, otherwise it means you have turned into an authentic Swiss-German! | This user would like to thank McTAVGE for this useful post:

I watched it a couple of times in the 60s when we first got a TV set but never since.
Has it improved since then?

and we-re off! I try to catch this mythically kitsch Euro gathering whenever I can, we try and have a Eurovision party, drink, eat and laugh-along. Let's see where the Brit girl finishes, personally I like the Bulgarian boy's song...and his hair and his dress style!

My reasoning is simple though, his look and song style remind me of what have made the UK music scene the world innovator of both over the last 60 years, it's cool, takes me back to my youth...Androgyny rules.
