Well said Gwendy!

I met my husband on-line. OF course I had to meet my share of weirdos but it was totally worth it. Come to think of it I might have met my share and everyone else's share of weirdos .
Nevertheless it is a good way of meeting people.

Good luck OP!
congratulations!! In this day of technology, there are many men out there not sure what to do and on-line is a lot of fun!!! I had me some "interesting" dates too, especially ones that look NOTHING like their pic and if you meet them too quickly, you might have missed the fact that they are dumb asses, so writing is a super way of weeding out the weirdos...

HB and SL, Please! do not let this degenerate into a personal mudslinging match!! If you want to "praise" each other's excellent qualities, take it elsewhere, not on this forum!

Also HB, ur post on so called Indian "mamma's boys" was in poor taste. There is a reason why many Indian men stay with their parents and take care of them. Unlike in the west, there is no concept of Social Security and Pension in India. So what do parents do when they reach their retirement age and are out of a job? Go to an old age home? It is at this point in their lives that they need their children to take care of them and give them company.

If you don't understand the social and national factors behind this practice, dont comment on it!!!
I am sorry if you, presumably as an Indian male, were offended, but this thread is not a serious editorial in the Economist. How do you also know that I am not Indian? Furthermore, this thread is about people living in CH, so why the analysis about people living in India.

But seriously, you're taking comments way too seriously and way out of context.

I recall something about someone being an adolescent, can't quite pinpoint anymore who that was.... must be age...

Re: The Swiss dating game

Alls forgotten. You made a point, I made my feelings known and thats that. Lets drown this over a glass of the cold liquid when/if we meet up!

Now to get back to the point, last time I checked, there was some serious discussion on the age limits of the proposed singles meet-up. Please carry on.

You pass on the account of not knowing anything about computer languages.

[C is the queen of computer languages and C++ is the OO derivative]

Troll and mature should never be used in the same sentence.

Re: The Swiss dating game

I think the dating expert here has to weigh in. Switzerland is a sexual desert. The Swiss only have sex for procreation and only once a year through a hole in a cloth while thinking of General Guisan (both sexes get off on him).

Most Swiss women have all the charisma of a pile of bricks and Swiss men are the most boring specimen ever invented, possibly rivaling the Asian MIT student kids. Moreover, their testes are blocked by all the melted cheese they seem to imbibe daily.
