Now SL, I think that's being a tad unfair... I'm sure if RD was into that he would have suggested that by page 3 at least...

You need to be lucky like me girl and meet a wonderful swiss man :-). I did not expect to find love either here or anywhere else and then out of the blue I met a fabulous swiss man. Do not give up hope - there is always someone out there x
We are talking about dating, not love.

Ah, you've never met Salsa_Lover, we see. Don't bother looking on the football pitch, on the road or in the mountain paths, at the dance clubs, or even in bed with a "sweaty latina". He's not there, but rather here on the forum talking about it ...

If I ever need a man to take care of me, wait on me, and be quiet until I tell him to speak, I'll get a butler.

Re: The Swiss dating game

I don't think that it is necessary to put specific age limits on any event, except for legal reasons (alcohol etc). The type of function should ensure that like-minded people attend. Surely, similar interests are more important than age?

e.g. I doubt if many under 25's would attend an evening of Bridge and Dominoes in a 5-star hotel function room.

[quote=Kalani;510078]Ah yes, a singles night...in Zurich I am guessing? What about in the Lausanne-ish area? Or Montreux? As you all undoubtedly know I live at the moment. By a boat harbour. Interested stalkers will ALSO have to apply for a Swiss Stalker Visa B2.

And in Basel too.....next year.....

Re: The Swiss dating game

HB and SL, Please! do not let this degenerate into a personal mudslinging match!! If you want to "praise" each other's excellent qualities, take it elsewhere, not on this forum!

Also HB, ur post on so called Indian "mamma's boys" was in poor taste. There is a reason why many Indian men stay with their parents and take care of them. Unlike in the west, there is no concept of Social Security and Pension in India. So what do parents do when they reach their retirement age and are out of a job? Go to an old age home? It is at this point in their lives that they need their children to take care of them and give them company.

If you don't understand the social and national factors behind this practice, dont comment on it!!!

Re: The Swiss dating game

Well said Gwendy!

I met my husband on-line. OF course I had to meet my share of weirdos but it was totally worth it. Come to think of it I might have met my share and everyone else's share of weirdos .
Nevertheless it is a good way of meeting people.

Good luck OP!

Hmm, good question.... I cetainly wouldn't say it's the pouncing female scenario, as the Swiss are quite reserved... Even the Swiss women say the men are slightly weird. I met one, who definitely turned out to be well, let's say strange, BUT he was a perfect gentleman so they are that, for sure.. All depends what you are looking for I would say.. Stick to that and you should be good. What is the most natural approach for you? Go to a private party of friends, always the best place to meet people. Go on Facebook, always fun to waste time until you meet the right one. Never cross off internet dating. If people were more open, they would admit to being in relationships where they had met online... it doesn't always work, but sometimes does and you can fish out the seriously weird ones really easily...

Good luck though, cause it sure is nicer to be with someone who makes your heart flutter than being alone on this dreary Sunday morning.. which takes me to the very question......

Sorry but is is allways not me who starts the mudslinging.

I just answer to the provocations because I am on a mood of soft trolling

otherwise when I am busy at the office I just ignore it.
