Hi all,
does anyone know a laboratory in Zurich where I can develop 120mm films and print photos at a decent price?
I had such a bad experience in Enge...develop and print of 13 photos for 61,20 CHF
I wouldnt like to show them my face again.

Just bumping this as I need to find a shop which does its own developing and ideally skilled enough to do some touch up if possible. I have some negatives which are 20 years old and I'm not sure about the condition.

If anyone can make a recommendation, it'd be appreciated.

For anyone who is interested, Foto Ganz in Shopville do their own developing. I asked for prints which were slightly smaller than A4 and each one cost CHF 9.90

i'd recommend metro imaging in london, if you don't mind sending it there.

Have you considered scanning the negatives with a negative/slide scanner. If its a decent scanner it should have a software function to reverse the colours and then you can print them out just like any digital photo.

I use the Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED, and am very satisfied, having scanned hundreds of negatives and slides, some going back to the 1970s. This scanner also recognises things like dirt and scratches and gives you the option to correct them.

Along the same line, a long time client of mine called just last week. As they were cleaning out the attic of their deceased Grandfather, they found a box of old slides. Hundreds of them!

My client asked where to get prints made - I mention the same as amogles did above... buy a scanner and digitalize them. I have business partners that do this kind of thing - but at a big price (quality costs). In the mean time I organized a dia-scanner for my client and they are happy

The OPs here have film to get developed, I remember a professional place in ZH. Will have to search for the name. One thing is for sure, if you want quality work, it won't be cheap... anywhere. For fast turnaround time, maybe Ifolor is still doing film... not sure.

+1 for slide/negative scanning (I have the Canon 9000f and recommend it). It can be really quite affecting when you scan old slides or negatives from long ago and see them enlarged (on a screen) for the first time in years (or ever).

Touching up the old photos to remove dust and other marks can be very time consuming but can make a big difference, particularly when colour-correcting slides with colour fading.
