| | English Newspaper Subscriptions?
Hi everyone. Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know of English newspapers that you could subscribe to in Switzerland for a reasonable price? I'm thinking of mainstream English/American newspapers (daily or weekly).

I had a subscription with the Guardian Weely, which I recently cancelled in favour of the Economist. I can't remember what I paid but it works out cheaper than buying them at the kiosk.

Hi,
Can you please provide me details of the Economist subscription? I have been planning to subscribe to the magazine. I stay in Basel city.

I took the option where I pay every three months, so it works out around CHF 5 for a issue as opposed to CHF 10 at the Kiosk.

Just as an aside, if you are looking for English language magazines at a good price, US CondeNast will deliver to CH at a very reasonable price -- around 20 dollars more than the US subscription price, which is very low to begin with. I presume they deliver all titles, -- for example, Vanity Fair, Vogue, cooking magazines, etc. but obviously you need to go to checkout for the final details. Here is a link to the list of titles. https://www.magazinestoresubscriptio...Magazines_Page |

O subscribe to The Week magazine (UK-version; it is a compilation of the best politics/economy/business articles of the week--UK and world ), and have been very happy with the timelyness of the delivery...they also offer the international subscription for a reasonable price. |

I have a subscription for the New Yorker, for only 112 dollars a year, weekly delivered in my mailbox. I still haven't found a magazine better than the New Yorker... I receive Newsweeks too (just for this year, answered a special offer), but I really don't like it.

Hi,
Just digging this topic.
Any Swiss website where I can subscribe to International papers and magazines for a cheaper price? Like a student price?
Alternatively, any student out there that would "offer" a subscription to me?
Thanks
For those who ask: I know I am in Suisse but why pay more?

You could also consider an iPad and have your daily newspapers or magazines sent digitally. The Times is £9.99 a month, Daily Express £7.99, The Sun £4.99 etc.. And if you navigate to Zinio.com you can have a look at what's available on the magazine front. As well as all the glossies, they also have The Economist, Newsweek etc..

For those who ask: I know I am in Suisse but why pay more? | | | | | Because you're not a student and therefore are attempting to get something you are not entitled to. | Quote: | | | | | You could also consider an iPad and have your daily newspapers or magazines sent digitally. Overall I just find reading papers on the iPad to be a more immersive experience than on the PC.

But you presumably can take the £100 a year subscription and use it with your ipad, through the ipad browser? Or does that negate the experience?

Even if it's another 20- for delivery, definitely worth it!
