Schwepps Ginger Ale

Why can't I buy glass bottles of Schwepps ginger ale anywhere. The plastic bottles are always flat!

I only know that they are sold in the restaurant in the Rote Fabrik, should you get desperate.

www.ggf-getraenke.ch/ does a two-four of CANADA DRY ginger ale in cans if you want a far superior ginger ale.

Rio drinks shops sell Schweppes ginger ale, tonic and bitter lemon in bottles - you can buy them by the case or individually.

Because their pricing people haven't realised that it's non-alcoholic, perhaps. Some ginger beers are, like this one at Manor and it could be that they think this is in the same marketplace.

It's the same price as Migros. I sell it at just a little more than that, and at that price I'm 20% less than my usual margin. I could buy it cheaper if I imported a pallet from France (most Bundaberg products are made there under license these days)

It's surprising in this market (CH) how some things can be imported, and priced at that level (and I sell it at pretty much the same price) yet other products like the Bundaberg that is alcohol free are so much more expensive. I guess it's supply and demand, importers of Bundaberg bringing in smallish quantities have higher overheads, importers of British beer who bring in lorry loads of the stuff, have percentage on cost wise, lower overheads.

Also, don't forget that duty on beer in the UK is very high, when it's exported through a bonded warehouse, the duty is removed. Swiss duty on beer is tiny.

Every Coop Pronto has ginger ale, how's this different? I always liked ginger ale, it's subtle. Settles one's stomach easily.

Eta - ok, got it.

I want it now, too..Let's be bold.

I think there is this 'Drinks of the World' shop in Zürich Hauptbahnhof which 'should' have 'everything'?

I can get Bundy ginger beer from Rio's Getränkemarkt for less than half the Migros price ... but only the ginger beer, they don't stock the other flavours (passionfruit, peach, grapefruit, whatever else they've dreamed up) - I don't drink their root beer, but I think Rio's stock that as well.

There are two, and they stock what sells well. There are some good drinks in there, but you have to search hard.
