| | Room with a View - Swiss Reality
What can you see out of your window? Do you have an amazing view from your balcony or sitting room? Or can you see any other curiosities you would like to share?
Yes, I'm being nosey - share as little or as much as you like - your personal view of Switzerland:
This is my "birthday" tree. The cherry tree blossoms for two weeks in Spring around my birthday. It's a tall tree and I love it for blooming up on the third floor in the middle of the city. The cherries are unfortunately just too far to pick by hand, and they're too high up to reach with a ladder. So all the fruit goes to the birds and bees | The following 4 users would like to thank Crumbs for this useful post:

I see the Alps. An arc stretching about 100km.

How nice, mmmm a nice cup of tea on the balcony on a quiet sunny day after a long winter and your lovely tree.
I have a special cosy space just beneath the roof where I can lay down and see only the sky through the top slopping window. I love it there.
I took a picture of what I could see and made it my avatar |

Front: Pilatus
Side: Rigi
Other side: Forest
Back: A barn where a few people keep their horses and a little garage where a couple of italians are desperately trying to bring a few old Alfas back to life every weekend.

Well, many gentleman will probably love to have the view from my balcon.
I can see a building with the balconies of other apartments, the interesting thing is that the girls who live there love to take the sunlight naked . We have a 6 year old boy and we try to keep him far from the balcony, but the other day he saw them and they knew that because he was loud in calling us to go and see what he have seen, the girls just started laughing and it looks like they enjoy being watched. We decided to put a curtain in our balcon to keep that function going on.

Of course, fine architecture is best viewed in good light, and to that end, I'd recommend that you take some pictures when the light is good. You could use these girls as a weather vane of sorts, as they obviously have an appreciation of when the light is best. |

The view from our front door this morning had me rushing to find my camera! I actually got a bit of "negative" vertigo seeing the cow on the left almost on top of me (difficult to see from the photo but I am looking upwards about 30 degrees) | The following 2 users would like to thank grumpygrapefruit for this useful post:

I'm guessing the view from your window the day of the runaway roll of hay was something you don't want to see again though |

Umm.. Grumpygrapefruit..
Maybe you might want to lose the cow on the left of your picture. It might just be me, but I swear it looks like it's missed a few meals, or there is some kind of alien inside of it.... |

I suspect you might be right, Mr Mitchell. I enhanced the photograph using top secret technology borrowed from the CIA, and came up with this slightly alarming close up photograph of the same cow: | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

I see no reasons for concern here, Mr Dougal. Clearly this cow flosses and has recently undergone scaling treatment. I am sure its breath is more bearable than yours after an extended pub crawl.
