Cost is CHF 5

I do not know where you get your stash from. But if it is old you may find one or more 1/2, 1 2 or 5 CHF Coins which were minted before 1968. All those contain silver and are more valuable than their face values.

PS: Did you know that the 10 Rappen coin design is the same since 1879 and still valid?

Thanks for the tip! CHF 5 is peanuts considering the alternative. It was the Bahnhofstrasse location I had called. Looking at the website though, it's listed as an Automatenbank with no hours or contact number.. To your knowledge, it'll really work without a customer card?

Owing to who I get it from, I think there likely won't be any silver in there, but was considering sifting through anyway as I have time.

From the information I can get from the websites, you need a Swiss Maestro Card to use most of the ATM-style machines that accept coins.

For the "other type" (if there even is?) the part about "filling the deposit slip" doesn't work, since I have no account to deposit to.. As I mentioned, not a customer of any bank in Switzerland.

Ask your local UBS branch?

Have done that, but they are local only. Don't know much about the other locations. Their answer, however, was to bring in the bag of coins and they would have it deposited in my account within 3-4 business days for a fee of chf5 and 1.5% commission.
