Yes, shocking news. I will try to get in touch with the different fan clubs to see if they are ready to set up a fund raising for the familiy during the rest of the playoffs. Maybe Langenthal and Olten are already planning something.
I will be at Hallenstadion tonight to see Züri vs. Davos with mixed feelings.
Nice touch - If you find anything out let us know, i'd be happy to chuck my bit in too :-)

According to the Olten hockey forum, the game will still take place.
But Schnyder will take no further part in the series, irrespective of whether he receives an official suspension or not. His club has also referred him for counselling.
I'm not sure if the Gottéron fan clubs will organise anything for tonight's game; there has been talk in the forums of a banner or some other tribute.
At the game tonight at Hallenstadion they had Player Shirts where you could sign. They also startet to collect money. Looks that there are lots of initiatives going on all over the place.
EHC Oltens reaction in this situation is just great, they try to calm down their supporters and asks everybody to be fair and not to overreact.

Fribourg finally pulled through against a spirited Biel with a performance we have waited 7 games for. Hats off to Biel, they were decimated by injuries and suspensions but really pushed it all the way. Berra leaving will be a huge loss for them, he's arguably been the best keeper in the NLA this year.
Did anyone see the broken puck incident? Cedric Botter took a wrist shot that hit Berra's upright and went in. Or so we thought. Replays show that the puck broke in two on hitting the post , half went in the goal and half rebounded out. Goal was correctly disallowed.
I see McSorley has been having a go at the refs after seeing Senf Gervette eliminated by Bern. I didn't see much of the games, but was he justified in his comments?
Interesting semis coming up, and possibly a Fribourg - Bern final (hopefully).

I was there, right in line with the goal!! One of the best saves I have ever seen. You could say it was a little lucky, but Conz admitted he tries it in training and it never came off, till now.
Gottéron now have 4 match points to reach their first final since 1994. Place has been electric every game, just hope they don't relax like they did against Biel, my nerves won't hack it.
Well the Zett pulled one back last night, good game. It's a long time since I heard the Hallenstadion that loud.
Fribourg actually pulled Conz after the 4th goal. Hope Abpanalp is OK, that didn't look good.
And on the Ronny Keller case the SEHV have decided that Schnyder has no case to answer. Probably the right decision.
Every game in this series has been top-notch and, apart from last night's, could have gone either way. Losing 3 (2 key) players at relatively short notice definitely disrupted Gottéron, and Kossman was constantly rejigging his offensive lines. Then to lose Dubé.. we were never really in it tbh, despite the spirited comeback in the final period. Can't remember the last time we scored 2 consecutive PP goals. However good Sushinsky was in the past, he really isn't up for it at the moment and there's no way in the world he is a replacement for Bykov on current form.
I think Conz pulled himself to be honest, goals 3 and 4 were stupid offensive errors and he was pretty much powerless.
As for the Applanalp incident; at first I thought shit, that's a check against the head, then I thought no, it's shoulder height, then I thought, it's a check to the back, which should have been a minor penalty at least. Ambühl is a nasty little individual (though you'd want him to be YOUR nasty little individual) and was lucky to get away with it; I thought it was unnecessary considering ZSC were pretty much cruising at the time.
Oh well, roll on tomorrow (I actually think it was fixed so we qualify for the final on home turf ).

And you were right, congratulations (frigging Fribourg, grumble, grumble, grouse )
The games have been excellent although the refs tried their best to ruin the first period last night.
Good luck in the final, according to the NLA site it's the first time for 19 years. We'll see whether you get Bern or Zug. You're probably hoping for Bern.

So a Zähringen derby for the final. I don't think any neutral would begrudge Gottéron their first title, especially against the Bernese. Going to be tough though; Gottéron probably the better hockey players, but Bern have the physicality and the championship experience.
Gottéron to edge it, but I'm biased

Game on for an outstanding passionate final between the leagues top 2 teams - table doesn't lie! Interesting also that this years playoffs have exactly followed the league positions - first 4 made the semis, top 2 make the final - bottom two played out with the last placed team Langnau now playing Lausanne in the fight for survival! Combine that with the NHL cameo, 4 game 7s in the first playoff round and Genf's improbable start and finish to the season (first half almost unbeatable, second half couldn't win a coin toss!) and it's been a very special season in the NLA!
Now if only the champions will also turn out to be a unique first time winner 😜 Allez Gotteron!!!
