Moving out from uk to zurich

Dear All,

I have a new contract job in Zurich, me and my wife will be moving out to Zurich next month, I have few questions below if anyone could be grate to answer them.

1) Living costs for two adults age 18 -25 include renting flat, health, food, transport.

2) What are the good and safe areas to live in (looking for 1 bedroom flat).

3) My wife is a nursary nurse, would it be easy to find a job for her in Zurich. (International English Nursary Schools)

4) I have furniture in the UK (include bedroom and TV and TV table) do you think is a good idea to ship them to Zurich.

5) will UK TV work in Zurich?

Many thanks in advance, and will appreciate the time for answering the questions above.

Cheers

Re: Moving out from uk to zurich

And we would appreciate if you spend some time searching in the forum. This has been answered a lot of times already.

And to answer your questions:

1. No clue for Zurich, but more than in the UK
2. Cant help
3. Good luck
4. Maybe if someone else pays
5. Maybe

Re: Moving out from uk to zurich

First, Welcome to the Forum.

As you'll see, if you look through the various bits of the Forum your questions all belong in different areas - and most of them have been asked before.

Ideally, your first post, telling us a little bit about yourself, would go into Introductions.

I suggest you spend time searching the relevant sections, trying to find similar Threads which may help. After finding out all you can, come back with the questions which you still have open, also putting them in the correct parts.

This isn't just being pedantic - EFers tend to read questions and give replies in the areas of the Forum which interest them, or in which they are 'experts'. They don't necessarily look in other places to see if they can help there.

Good luck
