Right you of course are about the 0.01 per point. BUT rather unfortunately, the food sections normally are NOT open for payments by points. Only on certain specific days
Correct for Co-op (Cumulus points are redeemable at the Migros check-outs via the coupons they issue once you've accumulated enough points). And yes, 1 rappen back on every franc spent is not spectacular, but Co-op almost constantly offers 5x Cumulus points or similar offers through couplons online or in their newspapers, and Migros often offers extra points on various items and/or on certain days (Saturdays, usually).

None of which lures me to shop at either store in favour of half-price shopping over the border, but that's a whole different thread.

Re: Carte manor? Coop Supercard? Migros's M-CUMULUS?

Bumping this as I saw something strange the other day.

People at the Zurich HB Migros were giving their Coop Supercard to be scanned, and the cashiers were scanning them. I'm a bit confused by this. Anybody know what's going on here? Are Coop/Migros just one big open cartel now, fighting the competition of Aldi/Lidl/Spar as loyal Swissies? Were the cashiers just scanning the cards to hear the beep? Should I continue to avoid the cumulus card since I don't want my wallet any fatter?

I think their Coop Supercard has a small sticker which is has Migros cumulus number.
This way, they save some space in their wallet for only having one card with both Coop and Migros number in it.

You can also gain points on your coop Supercard when you shop at Fust, Interdiscount, The Body Shop, Top Tip, so don't forget to give them your Supercard when you make a purchase. We just moved and bought some big ticket items at these stores. I used my points to get free gardening equipment.

Correct,

And you can get the M-cumulus sticker (or additional cards) sent by post from https://www.migros.ch/cumulus/de/sec...atzkarten.html (need to login).

Don't forget that you can get points in Migros (Migrol) and Coop petrol stations for your fuel. Doing so should adds a lot of loyalty points!

Many Shell gas stations have a Migros/Migrol/Migrolino (whatever it's called) shop where you get these points.

In French for Migrol:
