Cable for a charger

Hi all,

I've lost the cable that connects to the charger for my canon camera. Any idea where I might get a replacement for this?

Thanks

Re: Cable for a charger

Maybe a cable from some of the other toys you might have might work.

Otherwise, how about MediaMarkt?

Re: Cable for a charger

If it is standard mini usb, these are available anywhere (well not ANYWHERE, but you know what I mean) and are the same as for a blackberry pre 2009. . As a quick fix you can use a media card reader and pull the card out. many laptops have these integrated or you can buy one for around 20E. This may even be easier as, certainly with my EOS the drivers never seem to work very fast. Good luck

Believe it or not you can find these electric cables at second hand stores quite often.

I needed a Swiss version for my camera battery charger and found one for a franc. It is brilliant and still works just fine, as long as my wife doesn't steal it for her computer. For some reason her company doesn't provide the Swiss cable for her laptop power supply and she doesn't like to use a bulky international adaptor. (Can't say I blame her.)

Brian.

Re: Cable for a charger

Any half-decent electrical shop will have spare leads you buy off the shelf.

Our Cannon charger has this kind of lead:

Which should be available anywere (e.g. Mediamarkt, Interdiscount, M Electrics etc.).

True, but mine is black.

Also, I just love trying to save money not do things the "normal way."

The good thing about these leads is that they are universal, they work on all voltages and frequencies and a great many appliances.

Re: Cable for a charger

Found one at interdiscount. It was the AC power adapter. The smaller interdiscount didn't have one.

Thanks all. You've saved me getting an earful from the wife
